Food Bank

    Feeding those experiencing food insecurity is always a priority.  Our monthly food boxes contain the essentials for a family's nutritional needs.  The boxes are packed based on the size of the household and distributed monthly to those in need.

"Food For Kids" Program

    The Food for Kids program was started in 2010 by Helping Hearts & Hands. Each week before they leave school on Thursday, Gooding children receive enough food for a three-day weekend that is easy for them to prepare if there is no adult available to help.  The food they receive is nutritious and easy for a child to handle.  In 2021, 839 bags of food were given out.  We also give a weekly bag to kids during the summer and allow kids from Gooding, Wendell and Bliss to come for a bag.  

Coats

    Winters are hard in Idaho, and a good coat can be beyond the reach of many families.  To aid in keeping the next generation warm and well, we started our coats program.  In 2021-2022, 70 coats were distributed to children.  We also distributed hats and gloves.  We appreciate the donation of new or gently used coats!!!!!

We give out kids' coats during the cold months and are always needing new or gently used coats, hats and gloves.  We can clean the used ones, but can not make repairs.  We need all sizes of coats (especially size 8-16 boys and girls).  New socks and underwear are always needed, as well!
